Calcium Magnesium Carbonate, also referred to as Dolomite, is a well-known sedimentary rock with the chemical formula CaMg(CO3)2. Dolomite and Limestone have chemical compositions and applications that are very similar, but Dolomite has more Magnesium Carbonate in its compounds. Although Dolomite is used as a flux or sintering agent in the iron and steel industries, its higher MgO content allows it to be used as a fertiliser, a livestock feed additive for calcium and magnesium CaMg(CO3)2, and a component in the production of glass, ceramics, and bricks.
Due to its strength and compatibility in the process of purifying iron and steel, our dolomite powder is also widely utilised in the iron and steel sectors. Before we distribute dolomite powder to any of our customers, we test it on a variety of characteristics. Due to its hardness and density, dolomite powder is one of the most popular and useful materials in construction and other building products applications. Because of its superior strength and hardness, dolomite is used as a filler in asphalt and concrete applications.
